LDS Magazine for Singles
I came home from work the other day only to find a new magazine on my doorstep. This one looked a little different from others...it was square. I don't mean square like they'd say in the 60's - man he's so square - it was in fact square in shape. And of course the name is
Square Magazine. I spoke with one of the employees at Square Magazine who told me that they are targeting 18-30 year olds in Utah Valley with a distribution of 10,000. I wasn't sure if that was 10,000 homes or people they believe they were hitting. Considering the size of the 18-30 year old singles demographic in Utah Vallley that doesn't seem to be a huge distirubtion unless that is 10,000 homes/apartments.
Anyways, have a look at this singles magazine and let me know your thoughts. Do you prefer Square Magazine to Schooled the Magazine? Do you think they both suck? Share your thoughts.

I've spent a number of days reviewing the top LDS singles sites. I have been using quite a few of them and would like to share my thoughts with you on why you should use
LDS Mingle and leave the rest alone.
Sites such as
LDSPlanet are deceptive in the fact that they try to get you to pay by offering a one time special price good for the next 10 minutes only to realize that they are only offering the actual price they normally charge. LAME-O.
LDS Singles.com has a lot pf profiles for singles 18-25 but not many pay and so your communication is limited.
LDS Mingle has a lot of singles and make it easy to use their site. This is well worth the $11.99 they charge for a one-month subscription. I'd recommend signing up for
LDSMingle even if you just want to give it a trial run you'll have a better time than you would at any other site.

Thoughts on EHarmony...
Just curious what other people think about eHarmony. eHarmony.com is one of the largest online dating/matrimonials site. They recently came out saying that one of their prime goals is to lower the divorce rate among married couples. I personally think is a very noble charge but question how realistic it truly is. I believe it was Mark Brooks in his onlinepersonalswatch blog where he revealed that they actually have fewer couples meeting than any other online personals site and only a very small percentage of them actually get married. I think they have an interesting business idea but have never used their site. Anyone out there with thoughts on eHarmony and how well it seems to work?

Christian Antagonism Not Right...
Why is it that those who run 'so-called' Christian websites are spending their time attacking those of the LDS faith. I am finding more and more information on the Internet where webmasters for sites such as Christian Cafe and SingleC spend their time and advertising dollars trying to discourage people from working with LDSMingle because they do not agree with the theologies of Mormonism. They fail to understand that Mormon theology is deeply rooted in understanding and accepting the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
It is important as Christians that all of us, though we differ in our individual theologies and sacramental tenets that we accept others with open arms. Gladly did Christ welcome those into his life who he did not agree with. It was only those who were too proud and concerned with the minute details of the law that Christ condemned. Can we not learn from the parable of the Good Samaritan? In Christ's time Samaritan's were viewed as despicable because of their mixed bloodlines. In the parable of the Good Samaritan it is he who is despised that stretches out his helping hand to another and the Lord commends him as a good servant. Hopefully we can band together as Latter-day Saints and accept the views and differences of our Christian brothers and sisters (even those webmasters who are blatantly antagonistic :D ).
